It’s an everyday battle with migraines. It’s a struggle that normal people don’t understand. It’s the pain that lasts for days, sometimes weeks. I write today on my 5th day in a row battling pain, confusion, and discomfort. I struggle to keep up with my family and their needs. I feel so bad for my family when I’m in an episode. I woke up this morning at 2:30 am with so much pain I was vomiting. I debated if I should wake my family for a trip to the ER.

I didn’t wake them from sleep and comfort, I just began to fight harder.

After 3 of the hottest showers and 3 doses of meds before 7 am I started to get some sort of relief. After my family left for work and school, I was in a full-blown battle with my own body. I debated with myself if I should call 911, but I didn’t. My migraines have taken control of my life. They come and go when they want. It doesn’t matter how much I eat and drink the right way, or exercise. They hurt so bad, my hair hurts when touching it. Yes, I have a team of good docs, but the only thing they can really do is prescribe meds and add suggestions. My life is controlled by an unseen disease that causes so much pain and discomfort I spend most of my time in bed just trying to survive.
